Hello dear friends of SpearfishingToday. I have been part of the SpearfishingToday team for a while now, and let me tell you, life is good. So many good things happen to me. Every week I have great freediving and spearfishing adventures. Since I have been trained well by FII instructors Maca and Alfredo, I have been able to dive considerably better, deeper, longer and safer (jaja thank you Alfredo). In the last week, we ate Triggerfish, Snapper, Horse Eye Jack, Cobia and… Barracuda.
As you can see on the picture, I shot this Barracuda very close to the head. I had been following it around a reef for 20 minutes together with our guests. Every time it moved faster than we did. I felt the excitement growing in us every second. At a certain point, we were close enough and it was time to take a breath and go down to get dinner. After I shot it, it did not move anymore, we call that “stoning the fish”. It did not give me a fight at all. But chasing it and being patient is quite adventurous. SMILE!
Come and join us for a great spearfishing adventure. See you soon in Cozumel!
