A day in February became FABULOUS for Pedro, joining us spearfishing. Pedro is from Brazil and Brazilians shoot fish in a different way. That is what Anibal and I noticed. They show up, introduce themselves with charm, get in the water and shoot a fish.
He made his entrance on the beach, we briefed him, he got in the water, did some warm up dives and shot a very very very nice Horse Eye Jack. We were swimming in blue water and underneath were some big silver fishes. Pedro dove down and did not hesitate for a second. He focused on one fish and that was smart. In these kind of situations, you tend to focus on one fish, then you see a bigger one and you focus on that one, then you change fish again, and so on and so on until you end up with no fish. It was great to see that Pedro did not get distracted. He focused, took the shot and came up like a winner. Food for the whole boat. Mexico y Brasil hermanos del alma!
