This week we will spear fish “for a cause….”. The humanitarian non-profit organization, Diving for a Cause, has just arrived to Cozumel. Great news!
Diving For A Cause was created to help children and communities in need all over the world. They are helping to make a difference in the lives of so many children through the passion for spearfishing.
So whats the plan? This week we will spearfish and the harvested fish will be given back to the communities where these resources are used to feed those in need. The proceeds from the fish may also be utilized for their schools and medical clinics. Also, we will devote a couple of days to the community. We will participate in group community projects and will help refurbish a school with a fresh coat of paint. Some of us will teach the young children to snorkel and appreciate the wonders of the ocean.
You can not expect good things to happen to you in life when you don’t give back. It is a great feeling to give back! Especially when you can combine that with doing something you love like spearfishing. We will keep you updated this week.
