SpearfishingToday.com is working together with Freediving Instructors International (F.I.I.). Yeah.
People start spearfishing and think they freedive safe. Getting certified though is a great way to increase bottom time and depth. In a very safe way. Worth every dime.
F.I.I. was founded by Multiple World Record Freediver and pioneer in freediving education, Martin Stepanek. We will offer the F.I.I. Level 1 and F.I.I. Level 2 Certifications. Our main instructor is Macarena Benitez. Maca who? Maca set a a new national constant no-fins record (25meters) during Suunto Vertical Blue 2012. You better get educated and certified by the best. Right?
The Level 1 Course covers everything from safety & problem management, breathing techniques, & equipment selection to correct freediving methods for gradual depth progression. This course is ideal for anyone wishing to master the correct basic freediving techniques of our system enabling you to confidently freedive to depths up to 66 feet/20 meters. The teaching method offers you a quick growth that is quickly limited by poor technique and discomfort at depth. We highly recommend taking the Level 1 Freediver course before proceeding onto the Level 2 Course.
Level 1 takes 1.5 day, costs 300usd.
Level 2 given by Alfredo Romo takes 4 days, costs 500usd.
Our guides are currently being trained for F.I.I. Level 1 and F.I.I. Level 2. We have to set the right example.
It´s a great idea to come here, get certified in clear blue water and then do some spearfishing trips with us afterwards and notice how you improved. Do it! We´ll make you a great deal.
