This week was a week of extreme spearfishing I would say. In one week, we shot a big fish that is in between the man and woman; world record (oooooh yeahhhhh). But the day before, we came back without any food. I dare to say we are really good spearfishermen. A couple of times a year, it simply happens that even we come back empty handed. We really try to encounter good fish. We do everything to find them and to let our guests take their shots. We check tides, moon and weather before we go out. During the trip we change areas, temperatures and depths for example. But like this week, on one day it just did not happen. Anibal went out in Cozumel and and I was out in Playa del Carmen and both of us went home empty handed. I saw 3 sailfishes about 10 ft right underneath us, just hanging in there. We can’t shoot those though. We just enjoy them. We saw many turtles and rays as well. Anibal saw a Marlin and turtles as well. Well……we all had a great time on that single day. Very nice freediving. The hunting was great. Conversations as well. But it happens….. once and a while.
