Living in paradise is great. When you love the work you have in paradise that is even more great. Actually it is pretty badass. Last week I met Eddy who had a very romantic image of my work (VERY romantic). Waking up 10 minutes before the trip, grab my spearguns and do a trip. Eat some fish afterwards, read a book and next day spearfishing again. If I ever make a movie about spearfishing we will present it like that, jaja. In reality it is somewhat different.
After agreeing on a trip the preparations starts. The first task is buying the fishing permits. Then a couple of days before the trip we start monitoring the weather; wind, rain, clouds and temperature. On the day before we prepare the equipment; check the spearguns, the bands and more. We also put together all gear needed for your trip. Then on the day itself, we double check the weather and if necessary we talk to the harbor captain. We also do some shopping for on the boat; fruit, water, etc. Arriving at the boat, we talk to other fishermen about the circumstances and where they caught fish. Then we decide where we take you. Good preparation will lead to a good trip. So yeah.. I LOVE what I do (except the supermarket part, hihi), but it is not as it is in your dreams Eddy… See you back in December! Leo
