A morning trip with Leo, guest Max and I…Checking out our first spot today a super nice ship wreck. I really like this spot, its always very promising…Barracudas, Permits, Grouper, Horse Eye Jack it could be anything, you just need to be patient and wait for the BIG school to show up. Current was ok…not too strong, we stayed on top of wreck for a while, suddenly it seemed that a big school of Permit was coming to check the ship and I see Leo going down but who knows why (jajajaja they must know him) they just turned back and went into the blue to disappear… from the surface I was able to see a couple of Cudas so I thought why not? Dove down…picked one and bam got it! mid size cuda perfect to warm up!
Max also shot at something but missed… He saw a huge school of Jacks nearby the wreck so we agreed with Leo to move on with the current a little bit north/east since we noticed a lot of fish was hanging out around the wreck area, first permits and now jacks… We started to swim…and not even 5 minutes later we see this amazing, incredible, huge and beautiful school of Horse Eye Jack! Hundreds of them! At first they were at the bottom (about 70 feet?) but as soon as we dove down they came up right at us, hard to focus on one but finally picked it and shot it! at the same time I see Leo shooting another big one! Excellent, beautiful feeling and view as well! We just got two very nice Jacks for lunch! And this, this was only the beginning of the day… to be continued….
