The summer is hot and dry this year in Playa del Carmen Mexico. Spearfishing Playa del Carmen is better than ever. Let me tell you about a great trip we recently had. In August normally we have a couple of days a month with rain and strong winds from South. This year there is hardly any rain and hardly any wind. The water temperature is high, we only spearfish wearing a rash guard to avoid sunburns.
On the boat today were David and some other fellow Mexicans. David and Spearfishing Today go back for quit a long time so it was good so have him back on the boat. I remember David and I spearfishing on Cozumel in our younger years. Today, we are spearfishing in Playa del Carmen.
We brought David to one of our latest spearfishing spots. Actually, it is not a hard to find spot, but we never see anybody else spearfishing (or fish) over there. It was a good decision. Diego spotted a nice Mutton Snapper and pointed it out to David. He took a deeeeeeep breath and dove down. For sure he was on a mission, Mutton Snapper is delicious. The shot was firm, and David got his Snapper. Amazing. Congratulations for señor David.
It is a great feeling to have this success in the beginning of the trip. We know that getting the fish you want can also happen in the last dive of the day, ha ha.
More fish were landed on the boat on our Playa del Carmen spearfishing trip, the guests and our crew came home with fresh fish. David getting his Mutton Snapper is a good example of what you can expect chartering a spearfishing trip with Spearfishing Today. Having a guide with you in the water, in this case Diego, that indeed shows you the fish is a must when you go out spearfishing in areas you do not know. Let´s say you never spearfished before, then your guide will teach you how to spearfish. When you are an experienced hunter, you should not be ashamed or too proud to use a guide. You might be hunting the same fishes as back home, but behavior and circumstances might be much different. At the end you want only one thing: a successful spearfishing charter. So when you come spearfishing Playa del Carmen, do what David did, book a spearfishing charter with Spearfishing Today and fresh fish will be on the menu.
