As a Mexican, I am proud to live in the Riviera Maya. What a beautiful home.
Spearfishing over here is challenging. The great visibility (up to 150ft) makes spearfishing a great adventure, but it requires you are able to control your wish to get fish. As soon as you are too excited, fish will go.
This picture of me is taken when I was at 60 feet of depth. Why I am there? Well… here in the Riviera Maya, you need to be diving down alllll the time to get dinner. This great visibility makes you dive all the time to make the curious fish come up to check you out. In this picture, I am slowly approaching the bottom to avoid scaring fish.
