May I introduce to you, Adrian. A Mexican young man of 14 years and spearfishing is already running through his veins. I met Adrian and his family last year. They all like freediving and spearfishing and since then we go out every time the family is here. This week I noticed that Adrian again improved his diving; diving deeper and calmer. His fishing got better as well. On the first trip we did he already secured the family with some dinner. He is a true talent at 1/2 of my age… I mean 1/3.
The last trip we had in Playa del Carmen, Adrian dove down to a monster Barracuda. He did not shoot (FYI… the fish was double the size of Adrian himself). When he was in shooting range I thought, why don’t you shoot? He explained me that when he was close enough he realized how big it was and what a fight this would be. Young but fully realizing what he is doing, compliments!
We are pushing dad to spend all summer in Quintana Roo so Adrian is able to become part of the SpearfishingToday team. So Ernesto, when you read this, I am looking for a assistant for this Summer… 14 years old, comfortably diving to 40ft, English and Spanish, con muchas ganas de trabajar.
