A shipwreck in the ocean attracts goooooood fish. Besides that there is always something adventurous about being around a shipwreck. Just going down and looking around it and looking in it is sooo much fun to do.
In this part of Mexico, we have a few nice shipwrecks at depths of 20ft, but also at depths of 120 ft. So what can you expect around shipwrecks? Besides coral there is fish like Lion Fish, Barracuda, Jacks, Grouper and Snapper. Lobster likes to hang out there as well. Inside the shipwreck, you might find good fish. Especially big Grouper and big Snapper like to be inside of a ship.
It looks so easy, just go into the shipwreck, shoot the fish and get out. It´s not like that. When we take you out spearfishing with us, we tell you not to get into a shipwreck. We just don’t want you to do it. There might be eels or sticky things you don’t see, and what if you get stuck? Your buddy might get worried at a certain point, but better to avoid dangerous situations. Imagine you shoot a fish and the line gets tangled around you. No…. better to hang around a shipwreck, look into it, but don’t get in. It might go well a 1000 times. BUT….
