“What do you do with the fish we shoot?” is literally a frequently asked question I receive a lot. The answer is simple. We share and eat it. We are not allowed to sell what we catch and in my opinion that is good.
Imagine if we were able to sell the fish we catch. Then the goal of a trip would be completely different. Ou goal now is that we have a great time and make great memories. We spear to get lunch/dinner (or breakfast jaja). If we were be able to sell it, then the number of kilos we catch would be the main thing.
As you most likely know, I try hard not to shoot/catch a ridiculous amount of fish. In my eyes you are more powerful not to shoot a fish when you can, then just shooting fish like you haven’t eaten in years. So after a trip, we share the fish among our guests and the crew. If we happen to have more, we have friends that appreciate some fresh fish as well. Nothing ever goes to waste. Actually, after cleaning the fish, we use even the head of most fish to make a delicious soup. In the picture is some ceviche and a grilled horse eye jack. That was that days catch and it was enough for the day.
