When we’re not on the ocean, captains do maintenance on the boats and the guides do maintenance on the guns. This week it was another time to do so. 35km per hour winds forced us to stay on land and do maintenance. It´s nice to see each other without a wetsuit, haha.
So what we do to keep guns in shape?
After every trip we rinse our gear with fresh water and we check for any damages in the lines and bended shafts are being replaced. This week it was time for some more… The wooden guns got sandpapered and got a new layer of oil. Pretty guns again. We oiled the trigger mechanism. We replaced all bands. That is a nice job (including lunch) for the team. Bulk rubber, wishbones, and line to make a knot. The right size, some tools and work is on, 48, 47, 46, 45….. Then we replaced the shafts with new ones and connected them with new monofilament through new bungies to the guns.
Guys! Thank you for being such a great team!!!
